ThAt GuY dAnIeL - CAPTIVITY
The Playmaker Writes Season 2 Episode 3
ThAt GuY dAnIeL-CAPTIVITY
Commercial break over. I was just trying to study Proverbs, and thus the commercial break. "3y3 aah" read the book of Proverbs, you'll be enlightened by the wisdom it possesses and teaches.
Now to today's word. "M3hnn!" Daniel is a book you have to read. I read Daniel Chapter 1 and I feel like I can write a whole book.
Daniel was a Jew in Jerusalem under King Jehoiakim and his city was unexpectedly turned into a vassal state by King Nebuchadnezzar, and everyone, asides the poor, was captured and sent to Babylon. Daniel happened to be part of captives, but Daniel and three of his Jewish friends stood out amongst the others in their state of captivity.
King Nebuchadnezzer decided to engraft some "Sharks" into his government which comprises counsellors, astrologers, magicians and sorcerers (NB. none of them was considered to be a servant of the Most High God). So King Nebuchadnezzer had his Master of Eunuchs to intricately select some fresh or should I say, some newly captured slaves from Israel, and this was the selection process:
Daniel 1:3-4 (Kindly read it)
The SLAVES were to have the following requirements:
1) )"Young Men" signifying Youthful Zeal
2)"No Blemish" signifying Good Health
3) "Good Looking" signifying Well Kept Structure
4) "Gifted in All Wisdom" signifying Diversity in Wisdom-"TINKING FAR MENTALITY"
5)"Possessing Knowledge" signifying "Sharp-Brains"
6)"Quick to Understand" signifying Susceptibility to Knowledge
7)"Ability to Serve in a King's palace" signifying Royal Service
8)"Teachable Spirit " signifying Humility to learn every-time.

Eish. This was the first selection process. If you were part of them, would you have passed the first test? You can go ahead of the series to see the mighty works that Daniel and his friends performed with Jehovah on their side. But today I ask you this simple question that which of the 8 criteria do you have? also which of them are you lacking? and finally which of them are you building up?
Think about this, and assess yourself.
These criteria are imperative to full and effective Christian living. For us to fully influence society and make 100% impact we need to have them on display whenever, wherever and whatever the occasion .
