Salvation 102 - The Millenium Slavery System
The Playmaker Writes-Season 2 Episode 2
Salvation 102
✨The Millennium Slavery System✨
✨The Millennium Slavery System✨
I am definitely
not a fan of slavery, especially when I remember my Social Studies' notes
in Junior Secondary School (JSS) on the Transatlantic Slave Trade, but for the
purpose of this post let's all pick our old Social Studies note books. I began
to read more on slavery and I chanced upon myriad slave trade systems in the
earlier centuries. Indeed our forefathers have certainly being through the
mill.
But wait
a second, the battlefield of slavery hasn't ended yet. Even though we
don't see slavery as we have popularly known it to be, it is not hidden from
the prospects of religion. The world has this facade of Christianity with
respect to religion but let me try and do a little analysis here with respect
to slavery.
✨Romans 7: 15-25 (Read it for yourselfJ)
A slave
is someone who is the property of another person and whose life is subject to
the owner's volition. So in your life as a Christian YOU have to make a
conscious decision to be a child of God or be a slave to the Devil. It's a
battle of Wills. God won't force you to be saved. He gave Adam the choice to
obey or disobey, and Adam did the latter.
So the
decision is yours. Slavery to Christ has it costs as well as slavery to the
world. Christ said we should carry his burden or be a slave to Him because His
yoke is easy and His burden is light.
Let's
take a typical example of a guy of 21 years who is a slave to the world. He's
heard about Christ and the whole Salvation message, he claims he is a
Christian, but he sleeps with anybody he sees in a skirt. He smokes (Shisha),
he drinks Alcohol (2% p3), he parties hard (more than me “mpo” before I got
saved) and the list goes on and on. This guy is surely going to reap the
effects of his slavery to sin. He's highly sure of getting unwanted children,
getting STD’s, cancer etc.
Now
compare the guy above to another guy who is simply living to try and please
Christ. He sees that he isn't perfect, but he does his best to have his
quiet time (reads living word devotional), goes to church, does his best to
resist temptation, has good company around him etc. What pain is there in this?
Who are
you enslaved to?
1) Jesus
or
2) The
World, Sin, The devil.
YOU CAN
HAVE ONLY ONE MASTER
Get saved
today. It takes moments of Faith to get saved but it takes your entire life
after salvation to become like Christ.
Repeat
after me:
God I
humbly ask you to come and live in my life. I accept you as Lord and Personal
Saviour. Make me new and let your Holy Spirit guide me, in Jesus name.
