The Hospital

The Playmaker Writes Season 3 Episode 5 

Sirens sounding, a patient on the verge of death grasping on to the nurse in the ambulance with a few breaths left to live. They eventually get to the hospital, oxygen is supplied and after a few minutes, the patient is resuscitated and stabilized. A few injections are given to make nurses smile and a few drugs to disturb the patient for a few weeks.

Why the hospital. I'm sure you've seen this scene, if not in reality then in a movie. But why don't we run to a social center when we fall ill or sick. Why isn't our first point of contact The Mall or the movies or a restaurant (for all you know a few “Kenkey” balls might do the trick). But we access the nearest vehicle and pay any amount of “money” to get to the closest respected and well-equipped hospital for the best treatment to be rendered.

Let me veer off, for a second. I believe you can testify that the reality of an object is subject to its creation and creator. So, a baby will logically presuppose his or her parents. Also, a gadget presupposes a scientist and most probably a technologist. So, what does the physical world presuppose? The physical world presupposes the spiritual world (John 1:3, Colossians 1:16). The spiritual world is governed by God. God is our creator, and He operates in the spiritual. So, He's more or less, more real than the phone or computer you can touch right now.

So, the Spiritual is more real than the physical, but the protocol of the physical doesn't allow us to fully operate in the spiritual arena, even though we are Spirit ourselves. Genesis 1:27

I'm talking plenty “erh”, my point is where do you run to with your issues, with your miseries, sorrows, pain, depressions, dreams, limitations, bad habits, short comings, frailties etc. My answer to you is quite Simple. The Church.

The Church is our Hospital as believers. It's an unceasing source of Joy, Laughter, refreshing zeal and passion to live a great life with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and fellowship amongst believers.

After critically studying my old life, I realize that the world made me have a lot of fantasies that didn't last, but rather imbued in me, fear, that tormented and haunted me.

You can't go out to the club without thinking of coming back drunk or fear of having a baby after a sexual escapade. You can't peep on your pornography or masturbate without the fear of being caught by friends or family. And this and many the more the world has to kindly offer. You can imagine the fear right? One of the devil’s strongholds is fear. When you are scared, you are a sucker and puppet for the devil’s usage.

But the church is your hospital. Your doctor, Monsieur Jesus, your nurse, the Holy Spirit. Your injection, the infallible and unparalled word of God, your medicinal drugs: your close friends and family, your medical checkups: your service in house Of God.  And guess what the church is not even a building. The church is you and I. Have you noticed that all churches survive on a population of believers? So, we are the church.

So, don't go looking for love in the church. But rather show that love you rather seek or desire to another person. For God so loved the world that he GAVE. So, your primary role in the church is Giving your Time, Talent and Treasure to God and service to church folks.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Church is sweet oh. In church, there's light, there's clarity, sound-mindness, love, joy, peace, good friends, good food etc.

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

Acts 2:46 NKJV

But in the world, there's darkness. No wonder discoes and night clubs and thieves and any other evil under the sun love to operate in the dark (at night).

Church gets sweeter and sweeter as you avail yourself more and be about the Father's business of Giving. You want to show love to someone today and heal someone's heart. That’s true Christianity: LOVE.

And please after you get healed in the hospital, your role in the hospital is now to look for other sick people and thus EVANGELISM. Try it today, you don’t lose anything Trust me.
