The 3 Musketeers

The Playmaker Writes Season 2 Episode 6
The 3 Musketeers
Hope you're doing great,  because I am. So today we're going to be looking at the James Bond characters in the Bible.  These characters show us how to finely execute missions from the secret service "MI6", also how to fully implement a plan, and how to follow orders to the core. Wow I just love these guys❤

SHADRACH,  MESHACH and ABEDNEGO.
We see their full escapades in Chapters 1 & 2 of Daniel. I hope you guys remember the 3 Jewish guys I was referring to from the last 3 episodes. Now here they are on full display.

樂Illustration Time: Imagine if our "Forerunner and Full Fledged Image of Ghana- President John Dramani Mahama" decides to build a statue and says every citizen should bow down to it or else face the most inhumane execution.  Give and take, most people will bow down and worship the image to avoid the repercussions.

Some of you are like "Tweaaa". But if you put yourself in these guys' shoes we can intricately see that,  they've risen through the ranks from grass to grace in the foreign city of Babylon. They were set by King Nebuchadnezzar to govern the provinces of Babylon and also they knew their jobs were on the line. But they had to make a decision on the spot not to bow to this idol.

They could have said:樂
1) We could fall but not actually worship the idol.
2) We won't become idol worshippers but we will worship it this one time, and then ask God for forgiveness
3) The King has absolute power, and we must obey him, God will understand
4) The King appointed us - we owe this to him
5) This is a foreign land, so God will excuse us for following the customs of the land.
6) Our ancestors set up idols in God's Temple!  This isn't half as bad!
7) We're not hurting anybody
8) If we get ourselves killed and some pagans take our high positions,  they wouldn't help our people in exile!
-NLT COMMENTARY-

These reasons are justifiable at first, but they are dangerous prerogatives.  To bow down and worship the image, would violate God's commands in Exodus 20:3 "You must not have any other god but me."

It would also erase their testimony for God forever. Never again could they talk about the power of their God above all other gods.

WHAT EXCUSE DO YOU USE FOR NOT STANDING UP FOR HIM?

We'll go deeper next week into these stupendous characters. Have a blissful and Holy Spirit Filled Week
